The landscape of the Meratus Mountains indeed holds so much charm that is very worthy of us enjoying its beauty. Tens or even hundreds of hidden gems that are so beautiful are stored in every corner and twist of the Meratus mountain geopark landscape. This is certainly a potential that deserves to be developed and built to become South Kalimantan's leading tourist destination that can bring in tourists not only from a domestic scale but also from national and international scale tourists.
The beauty of the Meratus Mountains Geopark is not only about the uniqueness of world-class geological heritage but also about the diversity of beauty derivatives that are risked by the collision of the seabed between the two continents. The beauty of such a diverse biodiversity heritage, for researchers, is certainly a very important object to be explored. The beauty of cultural heritage from every corner and twist of traditional and cultural villages at the geopark landscape level is certainly a paradise of beauty for tourists and connoisseurs of world heritage. Not to mention we are talking about the heritage of economic behavior that produces exotic handicraft products, landscape beauty carvings, and hundreds of other charms that we are very sorry to miss. By seeing this potential, we from the South Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office in collaboration with Shafwah Entertainment try to explore every corner of the beauty of the Meratus mountain geopark landscape through a Meratus Geopark Landscape Exploration program and we hope that the results of this expedition can provide an overview and information to prospective tourists that South Kalimantan has a lot of beauty and is very worthy to be one of the choices of tourist destinations for all Indonesian people and of course also for the people of Indonesia.
